Homemade Dog Cookies - Peanut Butter & Honey

Ingredients - Homemade Dog Cookies:
½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
2 tablespoons honey
1 egg
1 ripe banana, mashed
1½ cups whole wheat flour
¼ cup rolled oats
Ingredients - Dog-Safe Icing (Optional):
2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 tablespoon honey
3-4 tablespoons Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened)
Instructions:
For Cookies:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix peanut butter, honey, egg, and mashed banana until smooth.
Add flour and oats, mixing until a dough forms.
On floured surface, roll dough to ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
Place on prepared baking sheets.
Bake 15-18 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
Cool completely - treats will harden as they cool.
For Icing:
Microwave peanut butter and honey for 15-20 seconds until softened.
Stir in Greek yogurt until smooth.
Add more yogurt if needed for desired consistency.
Spread or pipe onto completely cooled treats.
Storage:
Un-iced homemade dog cookies at room temperature: 5 days
Iced treats in refrigerator: 3 days
Frozen (iced or un-iced): up to 3 months
Safety Tip:
Always check peanut butter contains no xylitol or artificial sweeteners
