This easy recipe is simple enough for your kids to make for your furry family members.

Waggy Bites Functional Dog Treats are the perfect daily treat and supplement solution, allowing you to feel good about what you give your dog while addressing specific health issues.

However, there are times when your furry friend deserves pure indulgence. Unfortunately, many store-bought treats are filled with preservatives and chemicals.

Instead, you can make homemade treats that are both nutritious and delicious.

Here’s a quick and easy peanut butter dog treats recipe to get you started!

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for grain-sensitive dogs)

  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)

  • 2 eggs

  • ¼ cup water (plus extra if needed)

  • 1 mashed ripe banana (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the peanut butter and eggs in a large bowl until well combined. Add the mashed banana if using.

  3. Gradually stir in the flour and add water as needed to form a workable dough. The dough should be firm but not sticky - similar to sugar cookie dough.

  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.

  5. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters or simply cut into shapes with a knife.

  6. Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown at the edges.

  7. Let cool completely before serving.

Storage:
  • Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Important Note:
  • Always ensure the peanut butter you use doesn't contain xylitol (also listed as birch sugar), as it's toxic to dogs. Natural, unsweetened peanut butter is best.
